Our goal at Country Garden & Farm Market is to provide our customers with the freshest and highest quality locally grown organic produce in the Fort Wayne Indiana area. One reason why we practice organic farming methods is so that we are providing our customers with highly nutritious food. Produce that is grown using convention farming practices looks good but does not have much nutritional value. Why do you think that the USDA increased the number of recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables to 9 to 13. Conventional farming has depleted the soil of life and organic matter. One of the key principles of organic farming is nurturing the soil because healthy living soil means productive soil that produces nutritious food. Also, plants grown on healthy soil are stronger and less susceptible to disease and insects.
