| The Summer CSA program is 20 weeks long and starts the week of May 31st and ends the week of October 11th. Since the Summer CSA program starts early in the season, the variety of vegetables available is limited. Because of this limited availability, the shares will be pre-made and all you have to do is pick up your bag. The types of vegetables that we will have are lettuce, spinach, arugula, beets, tomatoes, turnips, peas and herbs. There may be a few other crops depending on the growing conditions. As we get to late June and early July, more crops such as cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, summer squash and broccoli to name a few will become available. When we gat to late July and we are harvesting a wide selection of vegetables, we allow our CSA members to make their own bags. We harvest and clean all the vegetables and display them on tables and allow our members to fill their bags with the items that they want. We grow a very large variety of vegetables to choose from including sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, celery, cabbage, melons and onions to name a few. Plus we have a large selection of fresh herbs. Everything is harvested the day of your scheduled pick up to ensure maximum freshness. There are now four different pick up locations to choose from: Mondays at the farm from 2 PM to 9 PM, Wednesdays at Solomans Farmer's Marker on Dupont Road from 4 PM TO 7 PM, Thursdays at the Do It Best hardware store on West State Street form 4:30 PM to 6 PM and our newest location in Huntington. day and time to be determined.
